Man shares 173k jackpot with mate

Giving at Christmas has taken on new meaning after a mystery man from Cardiff celebrated winning a staggering £173,000 jackpot at his local Grosvenor Casino before splitting it with his friend.

The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, was enjoying a festive night out with his mate at Grosvenor Casino Cardiff in the days leading up to Christmas when he joked about what it would be like to win a big cash prize and what he would do with the money.

Filled with the festive spirit, the winner decided to split his winnings in half with his friend who joined him at the casino on that lucky night out and plans to pay off his wife’s car as well as treat himself to a new watch.
